OCFO/NFC Employees Receive USDA’s Highest Honors

On October 20, 2006, the Secretary of Agriculture, Michael Johanns, honored United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) employees from across the nation for exemplary service and achievements in the 59th annual USDA Honor Awards Ceremony. The Honor awards recognize truly outstanding service by USDA employees who have achieved great things through their dedication, leadership, and hard work.

Among those recognized at the ceremony were the employees of the USDA, Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), National Finance Center. Secretary Johanns presented NFC employees with the Department’s Employee Recognition and Remembrance Award. The award was given in recognition of the extraordinary level and quality of assistance rendered by NFC employees during rescue and recovery operations in response to the disastrous effects of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita on the United States Gulf Coast in 2005.
