NFC's Mose Lindsay Receives Exemplary Customer Service Award from the Department of Justice

On Tuesday, October 24, 2006, at the 24th Annual Justice Management Division (JMD) Awards Ceremony, the National Finance Center’s Mose Lindsay was presented with a JMD Cooperation Award for his exemplary customer service and support of the U.S. Department of Justice. The following words describe Mose’s accomplishments.

"Mose Lindsay is the poster person for "customer satisfaction." Due to his outstanding service, the salaries of the Department's of Justice’s 122,000 workforce have been consistently generated due to the efforts and results by Mose Lindsay and his team at the National Finance Center. He has been instrumental in running the necessary interference and resolving pay related problems on countless occasions to ensure the Department's satisfaction. In addition, based on his review of other agencies "Best Practices" he was able to design, teach and run the necessary interference for new training programs, which have been institutionalized here at the Department.

Most recognizable, however, was Mr. Lindsay's ability to stay focused and to continue to rise to the occasion during the post Hurricane Katrina era, which shut down the entire city of New Orleans. The Department's core Payroll/Personnel Systems resides in New Orleans, Louisiana. With most of his Payroll Staff absent from the newly assigned back-up worksite, located in Grand Prairie, Texas, and his entire family uprooted and relocated, his dedication persevered to ensure that the Department's payroll was processed accurate and timely. Through his efforts, he was able to pull off the impossible and overcome such obstacles as the use of back-up Payroll/Personnel System, having a sparse staff, lack of readily available worksite, and many more atrocities that go hand in hand with such devastation. No matter what the demands were of his customers, he was able to continue to provide the level of support requested by the Department. This selfless level of continued management and support during such hardship speaks to the type of commitment that lends itself to the true spirit of cooperation."

We at the NFC echo DOJ’s sentiments regarding Mose’s dedication and feel very proud to have him as a part of our staff here at the Center. Please join us in congratulating him on this worthy accomplishment.
