Procedures for Accessing NFC's Guest LAN

Visitors: including contractors, vendors, and Government employees requiring access to the Internet for business purposes.

NFC's Guest LAN provides access to the Internet only, for visitors, including contractors, vendors and government employees working at NFC Facilities. There is not a requirement for customers to have their laptops scanned when accessing NFC’s Guest LAN. The Guest LAN does not provide access to the local area network, servers, applications, or printers. Customers will assume the normal risks and adhere to NFC guidelines associated with Internet use. This document defines the process to request and grant access.

Visitors are requested to supply the following information to the Client Management Branch (CMB) 14-days notice in advance of your visit.

  • Name and phone number of visitor(s)
  • Visitor’s company name
  • Reason for access
  • Number of connections requested
  • Start date and termination date

NOTE: Guest LAN access will be granted to a designated location for the duration of your visit.

CMB will notify the visit coordinator regarding approval of your request.
